My head hurts. What happened…?
“Sorry about that Kana! Are you hurt?” I cracked an eye open, a tear trying to give way and looked upwards. The man with the silver hair knelt down and rubbed my head. “I wasn’t paying attention. Please forgive me.”
I try my hardest to act strong. “Don’t worry Papa. I’m a strong girl!”
His expression calmed. “Yes. You are indeed a strong girl.” He stood back up. “I’m going to go get the vegetables. You go off and play.”
I saluted him. “Yes Papa. I’ll be off now.”
We both parted ways. My Papa is the nicest person in the world. He even called me a strong girl! I must live up to his expectations!
I will continue to be a strong girl for him!
A strong girl.
Girl…
Girl…?
“I am a strong girl?” Something doesn’t feel right about that. “I’m a girl? I’m…Kana?”
The gears in my brain started to turn. I looked downwards. I let out a loud shriek. “I-I’m a girl!”
“Kana? Are you alright? Is something the matter?” A sultry voice came from behind me. Her voice was very familiar as well. I turn around to see a…um…well developed lady with bright long purple hair come my way. “Did something bad happen? Are you hurt? Oh you poor thing!” She grabbed the hilt of the axe from her side. “Tell me who hurt you. I will make sure to kill whoever laid a finger on you.”
“Wait! N-nothing’s w-wrong!” Damn. I’m still not accustomed to this new high pitched voice.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes!” Please go away already so I can continue to question life.
She didn’t. “Then why did you let out such a high pitched scream?”
“Um…I…saw a…cockroach! Yeah. A cockroach was on my foot!”
“Oh you poor thing.” Kneeling down, she pulled me into a hug. “Don’t worry. It’s gone now. If it ever comes back, call me and I’ll slaughter it in an instant.”
That’s ever if I live till then. Your breasts are huge and soft, but I’ll die from suffocation if I don’t get out of your hug! I tried to break free, but her grip is too strong. I think I’m losing consciousness.
Releasing her grip, she said, “Bye Kana. See you later.” She turned around before she could see me fall face first on the ground.
I couldn’t help but cough from the recent event. “I’ve always wanted to feel huge breasts. Not to die of suffocation from them.”
I pulled myself up and wiped the dirt off my armor. Let me get my thoughts together. Corrin and Camilla both called me Kana. How do I confirm this? Looking around, I noticed a well not far from where I stand. Quite convenient if I say so myself.
I ran over there. I noticed how well my armor fit my feminine body. The crevices on my arms and legs made running in this a cinch exclusively for me. My right leg then fell in front of my left causing me to trip over myself. Maybe this armor is built for this body, but I’m far from being accustomed to this body.
Finally at my destination, I peeked over the short stonewall. Clear water with something distorting it in the middle. That distortion being a face. I can only assume it’s mine despite how my face and this face are in no correlation the same.
It’s the perfect image of Kana from Fire Emblem Fates. I put my metal glove covered hand on my cheek not caring for the cold feeling. My hair matched Corrin’s in color. It was done up into a bun and I for some reason didn’t notice that. It should make my head feel a bit heavier. I got big blue eyes that I swear sparkle more than the clear water. I got pointed ears that also signify my relationship to Corrin. Every expression I’d expect from my face was seen in the watery mirror. Everything I did was reflected by this girl. I guess I truly am Kana, and ultimately a girl.
“How did this happen? How did I end up here?”
“I can answer that.”
I turn around in shock to see a red headed girl standing over me. I take a step back to fully process who she is. “Aren’t you–”
“Anna? Why yes!”
…Well? Are you going to leave it at that? “So…you said you know why I’m here and like this?”
“Uh-huh! This is a dream. You were struck by lightning and fell into a coma.”
“W-wait! This is all so sudden! You said I was struck by ightning? Why don’t I remember¬–” I couldn’t complete my question. My head started to hurt unbearably bad making me clutch it.

“Hey father. I thought today was supposed to be sunny.”
“The news said that.” He looked at his phone. “It still says it is, even at this moment.”
“Then why is it look like cats and dogs are about to start falling?”
“Matteo! Man up! You can’t let some dark clouds get in your way!”
A girl walked forwards interrupting the two. “Hi Matteo. Are you both okay? Did something bad happen? The entire family from mine and your side is here.”
Before I could respond, my father pushed me. “Go get ‘em!”
“Oh…uh…Jessica?”
She smiled wide. Damn it. She already knows probably. Nothing gets through her. Might as well get on with it. Pulling a small box out of my pocket, I ask, “Jessica, will you marry me?”
Before saying anything, she flew in my arms. “Yes! A thousand times yes!” We then proceeded to share a small kiss.
Once I let her down, a bunch of people from our families started to cheer. Someof them even pulled out party poppers. “See son? Everything went fine. No clouds would make this go wrong.”
I chuckled a bit. “You were right dad. Nothing went wr–”
“Look out!”
Before I could properly process the words, I glance upwards to see a flash for a split millisecond.
Then the memory concluded.

“T-that really happened…”
“Yep! How ironic was that? You must be called The Ulimate Lucky Person for that to happen.”
“Shut up! All I need to do is wake up right? Then I’ll–”
“Sorry, but that won’t work! You’ve been in a coma for over a decade. Your parents died shortly after you were admitted to the hospital due to their heartbreak. Your girlfriend recently had them pull the plug since she couldn’t bare to watch you in pain anymore.”
“Wh-what? You mean I’m already dead?”
“Not really though. This dream is going to continue going until you wake up. It is just taking forever since you are in your last moments. Think of it as seeing your life flash before your eyes. Those final moments take forever.”
“Th-this can’t be… You mean to say either I live out the rest of my moments in this prolonged dream?”
“Yes! That or you can just kill yourself. It will make all this much quicker.”
“K-kill myself?” Saying it myself brought chills down my spine.
“Yep! It must feel like shit to live out the rest of your life like this! Knowing that this word can end at any moment at the moment you die.”
I sadly can’t deny that. “Y-you’re right about that.”
“Then you know what you must do.”
“Yeah… I guess there’s no point living anymore. Might as well end this already.” I glance down at my sword. Pulling it out of my sheath, I try to steady my hands. Curse them for trembling. I’ve lived a short life. There are still so many things I want to do. So many things I want to see. I didn’t ask for this. Why must life be so cruel?
I don’t want to die.
I don’t want to die…
“I don’t…” My voice couldn’t finish the sentence. How could it when I still can’t grasp the truth of what happened? My eyes leak out pools of tears like a never-ending waterfall. My legs shake as if they were pillars on the brink of crumbling. My heart beating rapidly to the point where it may pop like a balloon.
Odd. How can it beat when I feel so dead inside? I guess I’ll never know the answer.
Pulling my hands to my chest with all my might, I felt pain. Immense pain. I look down to see my sword impaled through my stomach. Blood slowly trickling out and creating a red pool around me. I felt the warm liquid ooze through my armor.
Despite my effort, I couldn’t pull out my sword. I lost the strength needed to do such an action. Falling to my knees, all I can do is watch as my life continues to leave me. I cough leaving some droplets of blood on the top part of my armor. It almost paints a unique picture over my silver and golden armor.
Drawing my last few breaths, I continue to travel through my thoughts. To make matters worse, these final moments of my life lingered on for what feels like an eternity. Never have I ever wanted something to hurry up faster than this very moment.
Now that I think about it, it’s sort of funny. I even let out a small high pitched, but hoarse chuckle to further the point. Even while on death’s road, God continues to play with me. He/she wants me to sit here and suffer through this pain. I can’t even find the strength to pull out my sword to make the bleeding faster and even stab myself again. To sit here and think about the past and the present pain I feel is truly the worse.
Slowly, my eyes come to a shut. Looking down, I see more blood than I’ve seen in my entire, but short lifetime. I can finally rest. Maybe in the future, I may be able to see my family and friends again, at least not for a while. I don’t want to rush them.
At least I know I’ll die as the person named Matteo on the inside.
The last thing I saw was Anna. Before my eyes closed, I saw her grin widely.
“Fool. Have fun remembering.”

“Ugh…what happened?” I rub my eyes since I find that they aren’t opening.
I hear a voice gasping from my right. “Matteo! You’re awake!”
I have no idea what to say. “Uh…yeah. I’m now awake. Um…”
Before I can continue, someone interrupted me. “Jessica, stop choking the…guy.” The taller man walked forwards. Is he crying? I wonder why. “My son…just woke up. Give him some time to adjust.”
The last word caught my attention. “Adjust?”
“Well…um…your body.”
I looked down at my body and then back at him. “What about my body?”
“What’s wrong with my body. All these people in front of me stopped crying and started to star at me with conflicting expressions.
The girl named Jessica unlatched herself from me. “What do you mean?”
The man in the white coat walked through the small crowd of people. “I’m sorry to tell you all this, but…”
I looked around at the gathering of people. “I sort of have a question for you all.”
The doctor had a dead expression hidden behind a fake mask probably worn on multiple occasions to try and show sympathy for other patients. “He or she has amnesia.”
Everyone gasped. “Who are all of you? Also, I would remember whether I was born as a boy or a girl.” I took a good look at my body that was visible over the covers. “I’m definitely a girl.”
Everyone started to cry again. This time, however, because of the sad turn of events.
The doctor decided to ask the important question. “If I may ask you. Do you remember your name?”
“Why of course I remember my name. My name is…” Huh? Why can’t I remember? I rattled my head to hopefully find the answer. Nothing came up, only a bunch of painful headaches. “I-I don’t know! Who am I!?”
The girl named Jessica looked straight into my eyes. For some odd reason, it hurt a lot to look at her cry. How odd. I’ve never even met her before. “Your name is Matteo. You just proposed to me before all this happened. Please come out if you’re in there.”
I rub the back of her head in an oddly familiar motion. “I’m sorry. I truly am.” The tears come down my face as well. I don’t understand why as well, but I won’t question it.

Lost in Thought's. Azura TG TF.
Music always seems to have this wondrous effect on people, to sway their emotions in whatever way the composer desired, whether it be a soothing melody or a blood pumping rock anthem.
That was probably why Dean Murphy loved music so much, no matter what you used it for, as long as it was utilized properly, it could add to anything, especially when you added words to it.
Dean’s goal in life was to become a singer, he’d wanted to ever since his father had taken him to a concert as a child, he remembered it so well, there were so many people, the crowd had been downright massive, he had to sit on his fathers shoulders just so he co

Choose Your Hero! – Start
I was finally fed up. Fire Emblem Heroes, one of my favorite mobile games, had finally pushed me to my limit. See, the gimmick of the game was that you collected various characters from across the Fire Emblem universe to come together and fight in battles under your command. Some people were ultra-competitive, going through the process of burning through hundreds of heroes (and dollars) to create the perfectly-equipped, maxed-out-stats heroes for player-vs-player matches. I, however, was just a pure-hearted fanboy, who’d loved the series since it first showed up in the US and wanted nothing more than

Sorry to anyone who was hoping for a happy ending. I needed to do this to get more into writing. I don't know why, but writing about depressing stuff is so much easier than happy stuff.

I mean... not sure why the P.S. in the description was necessary. "Kana" is the correct English spelling of the character's name, after all.
